Exhibition- Clerkenwell Old Detention Center

An exhibition I'll be taking part in with 40 others in east london opens this week, www.lovehate.tk
I'll be submitting two new installations.
One I'll be doing in collaboration with Arlette, moving on from a previous project we did in the city and the other, a solo piece, that I am so stressing about because I can't build it until the day before the private view... It may very well be I just submit the one piece with Arlette if mine doesn't come out right.

Superfluous

Having no excuse for being.
Hand set, repeated over and over again until it filled the front of an a3 sheet. I got to print the 70 pages myself on the main printing contraption with spot varnish on gold paper. Ian laid the type on the press for me, but besides that it was very exciting to be in control of the prints and went along with the nature of what I was trying to communicate, doing something over and over again, something that looks aesthetically beautiful, where the laborious act of creation is hidden - like so much shit that's produced today.
